Venue Feature: Raveneaux Country Club

     This past weekend, we had the immense pleasure of photographing a wedding, at our neighbor around the corner Raveneaux Country Club. This venue is a tried and true favorite and one of the best wedding venues in Northwest Houston. This year the club has made many renovations to the ballroom and the grounds making it the perfect location for any Houston wedding or event.

 This wedding was on a rainy Saturday and the staff at Raveneaux could not have done a better job making sure the event went off without a hitch. We were able to utilize all of the most beautiful areas in the club for portraits without getting wet! The Old Course Pub made a perfect setting for the groom and his guys as well as a romantic spot for the couple alone. The new iron doors have recently been updated and add a more modern feel to the entryway. We just loved these vintage looking finishes on these portraits of the bride and groom.  

 The ballroom was cleverly and quickly reset for the reception while the guests enjoyed beverages and hors d'oeuvres. As event photographers we were faced with a challenging situation with the bad weather. However, this wedding venue proved to have much to offer as far as photographic opportunities.

 

 This balcony overlooking the golf course is always a favorite spot for portraits. At night we found that it made for a romantic setting for the couple even with the rain.
