A Woodlands Wedding to Remember

The fall Houston wedding of Annette and Jake was held at the Woodlands United Methodist Church, a church as beautiful outside as it is in. Fall is the best season to host a wedding in Houston and this October day was no exception. The grounds made for a wonderful setting for the couple's wedding portraits and the candle lit ceremony was held in the larger sanctuary. This native Woodlands bride now lives in New York and family and friend's traveled far and wide to attend.

The bride selected lovely fall colors for her bouquet that complemented the pink bridesmaid dresses. A perfect combination for a fall Texas wedding and a feminine New York bride. After the ceremony, it was off to The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center, a gorgeous, versatile location that hosts weddings and many other kinds of events. It is definitely one of the premier wedding venues in the Northwest Houston area. The reception ball room was beautifully decorated for the entrance of the Bride and Groom, with colorful lighting and whimsical paper lanterns adorning the ceiling of the dance floor.

The Couple's Unique Wedding Cake
Commercial Art

The couple and their guest were entertained by a live band, Commercial Art . They played a variety of different styles of music and have been playing at weddings in Houston since 1986. When it comes to variety, few bands can top Commercial Art’s repertoire, music that takes the listener from 40’s swing, to the classic rock of the 50’s and 60’s, vintage soul and 70’s funk to the present and everything in between. They certainly kept the party going, as the wedding reception rocked on until after midnight!

 British Monarch Limousines

As the night came to an end the couple made their exit from the wedding venue in style, greeted by a vintage Rolls Royce, provided by British Monarch Limousines. This wedding was as lovely as any that we have photographed in the Houston area. Good luck to Annete and Jake as the make their new life together in the Big Apple! I just now explored the Houston Wedding venues and found every venue worth of reserving. I am definitely choosing one among them.
